I was born and raised in Vancouver, BC. I always loved creating and painting, and took every art class I could in high school. In 1998 I took a series of decorative arts courses through the Valerie Skemp Decorative Arts Studio in Richmond, BC. These courses included faux finishes, trompe l’oeil, and mural techniques. Following this training, I worked for a couple of designers and private clients, painting murals and faux finishes in homes. In 2012, I completed the Fine Arts Certificate at Emily Carr University, Vancouver, BC. I am a member of the New Westminster Arts Council. My work is always evolving as I experiment with new techniques. For me, creating is all about bringing an idea to life on canvas.
